My Paintings on Exhibit
I’ll have these 4 paintings framed in the exhibit ready to purchase.
Chicago Riverwalk - Curvy Steps 12x9
Own a piece of Chicago history. Before the Apple store, there was a beautiful curved staircase leading down to the River Walk on Michigan Avenue. About 2 weeks before demolition started, I was able to grab some photos and sketches and start this Plein Air inspired Watercolor painting.
Here are some before photos of the staircase and the eventual demolition in 2016. Click to enlarge.
Bridgeport's Hidden Gem 8x8
Before heading up to Bridgeport to paint, I scoped out the neighborhood for some interesting architecture. I found Ling Shen Ching Tze, Bridgeport’s 126-Year-Old Buddhist Temple and local hidden gem. The triangular-shaped structure was built in 1894 by Burnham and Root.
The second small painting is the alley/street across from the temple.
The painting was started and completed on location. Click to enlarge.
Out of This World 14x10
My neighborhood is the West Loop of Chicago and Fulton Market District is one of my favorite parts. As those who know me, know that I love good coffee and one of the best coffee shops in the West loop in Jupiter Outpost. It’s located next to the Mars gallery and that’s why this Plein Air inspired painting is called Out of this World.
Hope to see you there! Contact me with any questions.
